Hello Diddydoodlers!
Thankyou SO much for joining us here on our brand new Challenge Blog - we are so excited to be joining you!
Every month we will be posting a project challenge which will be open to anyone age 16 or under to enter - our Top 3 favourite entries will be asked to join us on the Design Team for another challenge and will receive a little prize too! Woohoo!
This month I asked my lovely team members Darci and Caitlin to make Thankyou cards - and they have come up with some gorgeous cards indeed! This is a great chance to thank all your family and friends for the lovely presents you received over Christmas so come on kids, join in with us and let's have some fun!
Darci (age 8)...
I printed up the pre coloured 3 panels of the peacock from the 'shake a tail feather' collection on the 'Back to Nature' CD Rom. This was cut out and each panel mounted onto silver mirri card. I used a Spellbinder Fancy label die cut and stamped Thank You onto it, then added some heart gems...
Caitlin (age 15)...I used the alphabet from the Sugar Birdies CD and cut out the letters after printing them on some nice shiny card. I added some bunting and backing papers which is from the All Around Everywhere CD and added the birdie from Sundae of Seasons. Then I just added ribbon to make this lovely little hanger. You could put this above your desk or your bed or hang it from a mantelpiece if you're giving it to someone.
I got a bit carried away with my thankyou's so I also made these cards too which I hope you like...
This one uses papers from the Shabby collection on Back to Nature and I just added a black and white image from Magical Winter (Nikky thinks this looks like me!)...
And I really like this tag - I added a "Thanks" which I cut from my Cricut machine and used the wellies from Double Sprinkles of Kraft. I added some of the flowers from Sundae of Seasons too...
And finally this is the pop-up flower card from Paper Boutique. The photo doesnt do this justice as it is very decoupaged and looks quite 3D in real life.
Nikky...Wow, Caitlin and Darci have put me to shame with their fab cards! I used a backing paper from Pretty Sweet CD and all the other elements are from Sundae of Seasons. I made some flowers by cutting some circles from felt and glueing a button in the middle. Then I drew the flower stalks onto the card by hand with a felt pen.
So there are our samples for this challenge - we hope you like them! Haven't Darci and Caitlin done really well! So now is your chance to enter too - you can make anything you like with a Thankyou theme using any product you wish, just add your photo to the Mr Linky below this post and we will choose our favourite 3, who will be asked to join as Guest Designers to the team for our March challenge!
Closing date for entries is 22nd January.
Don't forget to join us on 27th January for the results and details of our next challenge!
